Protein Cottage Cheese Sauce

This garlicy high-protein cheese sauce is so tasty and makes the perfect addition to pasta, nachos, cheese bread and more!

Equipment

  • 1 widemouth mason jar
  • 1 food processor or blender

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cottage cheese 1 or 2 percent
  • 3 tsp nutritional yeast flakes
  • 2 Tbsp liquid egg whites
  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder do more or less depending on your garlic preference
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp dried oregano

Instructions
 

  • place all ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until creamy and smooth
  • Best served warmed or heated up in your dish of choice

Notes

Substitute oregano for basil, rosemary, or any of your preferred seasoning
This sauce is garlic forward, add less of the garlic powder if you prefer a more mild taste, or omit it altogether. If you love garlic, add minced garlic for an extra garlicky cheese sauce!
Add as a protein boost to pasta dishes, nachos, tacos, and garlic bread. 
Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for 7-10 days.
